You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch

A friend of mine posted an adorable picture on facebook of Grinch ornaments that she had made.  They were precious.  Another friend of mine had made glitter ornaments with her son.  They were precious as well.

I decided to go for it....and Kellen and I made Grinch ornaments.

I underestimated how much glitter would be needed for the ornaments, so I was actually really happy that Kellen just wanted to give them to his teachers at school.  Of course, I wanted to keep one for us, so we ended up with just the right amount of glitter for the slightly more than a half-dozen ornaments we made.

Materials
Glass ornaments (from Hobby Lobby, bought a set of 12 for 50% off of 7.99)
Glitter (from Hobby Lobby, 1.47)
Mop n glo (already had)
White paint pen (from Hobby Lobby, 3.47)
Black paint pen (from Hobby Lobby, 3.47)
(Now, most crafty folks may already have paint pens and this wouldn't be an expense for them.  Me, I do not have these things, so I had to factor them in to this cost. Obviously, they are still good and can be used for other projects....)

Instructions
Remove the "topper" from the ornament, pour a small amount of Mop n glo inside, plug hole with thumb or finger and swirl until inside is fully coated.  Pour into container (I used something that I could easily pour from to reuse).

Pour a generous amount of glitter into the coated ornament.  Shake vigorously until all surfaces are covered and coated.

Recruit an adorable a handsome helper and continue to add glitter and shake as needed.

Reinsert "topper" on the ornament.

Decorate the Grinch face to the best of your decorating abilities.  Start with the whites of the eyes, then add the other features and the pupils of the eyes after the whites have dried.

Enjoy your oh-so-cute ornament!

And in case you need a trip down memory lane......

You're a mean one Mr Grinch
You really are a heel
You’re as cuddly as a cactus
You're as charming as an eel
Mr. Grinch
You’re a bad banana with a greasy black peel

You're a monster Mr. Grinch
Your Hearts an empty hole
Your brain is full of spiders
You’ve got garlic in your soul Mr. Grinch
I wouldn’t touch you with a
39 and a half Foot pole

You’re a vile one Mr. Grinch
You have termites in your smile
You have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile
Mr. Grinch
Given the choice between the two of you
I’d take the a seasick crocodile

You’re a foul one Mr. Grinch
You’re a nasty wasty skunk
Your heart is full of unwashed socks,
Your soul is full of gunk
Mr. Grinch

The 3 words that best describe you, are as follows, and I quote
Stink, Stank, Stonk

You’re a rotter Mr. Grinch
You’re the king of sinful sots
Your hearts a dead tomato splotched with moldy purple spots
Mr. Grinch

Your sole is an appalling dump heap
Overflowing with the most disgraceful
Assortment of deplorable rubbish
Imaginable, mangled up in tangled up knots

You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch
With a nauseous super naus
You’re a crooked jerky jockey and,
you drive a crooked horse
Mr. Grinch

You’re a 3 Decker sour kraut and toad stool sandwich
With arsenic sauce!
