So I'm really getting into this homemade babyfood thing...here are some additional calculations..

Bananas:
...Ok...so let's ignore the fact that of the bananas I bought, I actually ate two (I don't know how much they weighed and the price is per pound, not banana, but still...)

$0.39 per pound, bought 2.21 lbs
Total spent = $0.86
Made 14 oz
Cost per oz (overestimated) = $0.06 per ounce

Stage 2 jar = 3.5 oz, purchase in sets of 2 = Total of 7 oz;
Average cost = $1.00 APPROXIMATE COST PER OZ = $0.14

HUGE SAVINGS HERE...and this is even an overestimate! YAY!!

Pears:
$0.77/lb, bought 1.22 lbs
Total spent = $0.94
This made 11 1 oz cubes...so
Cost per oz = $0.085
