Adventures in basketball - Game 2

The team worked on rebounding to be ready for their second game.  I think they got the concept quite well, actually.

They all put forth a great effort and are getting better at guarding their guy when they're on defense and trying to get the ball and shoot when they're on offense.

Not too shabby in my book for a seven year old!

This is Kellen getting matched up with his counterpart on the other team.  Note the colored wristbands - each team has a kid in the various colors and that's how the kids know who to defend.  They're solely man-to-man on defense.

Kellen had quite the cheering section on Saturday (see, now I'm at least getting closer to being up-to-date, right?).  Maw Maw and Paw Paw brought Tatum back and watched the game, and some friends from Jacey's day care (her teacher, the teachers hubby, and their three kids - one of whom was on Kellen's football team in the fall) came to watch between their games.

While we were at the game, Jacey decided to flex her muscles - literally - by sitting up some.  Unfortunately for her, Paw Paw overestimated her ability to do so.

Imagine her doing a face plant from this position.

Poor girl.

Good things she comes from some tough genes, because it certainly didn't seem to phase her much!
